SCRA 2016: Union Public Service Commission has depicted the notification for SCRA exam to recruit qualified and capable aspirants for the post of Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways. Eligible & interested candidates can apply by filling SCRA Application Form through online mode latest by 30th October 2015. The exam will be conducted on 10th January 2016. UPSC conducts this exam every year as per the rules by Indian Railway Board.

Essential Qualification:

Candidates should have passed intermediate (10+2 or equivalent) with 1st or 2nd division and also Mathematics as a subject with at least Physics and Chemistry as one of the subjects.
Candidate must have passed first year exam under three year degree course of University. If the candidate has passed first exam of three year diploma course in Rural Service of National Council for Rural Higher Education or III year can also look upon for exam.
Candidates should have completed their graduation with Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry should be studied as one of their main subject in the examination.

Age Limit:

Age of candidates should not be less than 17 years & not more than 21 years as on 01st June 2016.

Relaxation in age will be given as per Government Rules.

Application Fee:

Aspirants need to deposit application fee of Rs. 100/- through net banking of SBI and its associate banks or by any Master/Visa Credit/Debit Cards or by paying Cash at any SBI branch.
Female, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from examination fee.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written examination. Then shortlisted applicants will be called for next level which is medical examination followed by personality test or Interview.

SCRA Paper Pattern

Examination will be conducted in two parts:

Part I contains –

Total			600

Parts II consist of a personality test which is of 200 marks. Only those candidates who have qualified their written examination will be called for personality test.

How to fill SCRA 2016 Application Form?

Candidates need to visit official site of Union Public Service Commission that is upsc.gov.in
On home page of official site select & hit “Online Application for SCRA” link. The registration will be done in two phases i.e., Part – I and Part – II
First, fill “Part – I Registration” with all your Personal Details, Educational Qualification, and Address, etc
You must follow all the steps and complete online filling application form process with entering correct details.
After that press on ‘Save’ button and verify all the details you have enter. After ensuring all the details are entered correct, press on ‘continue’ button.
Now in “Part – II Registration” fill your Registration ID (sent to your mail) and date of birth.
Upload your passport size photograph & scanned copy of your signature & press “Submit” button. Now make the payment of application fee.
Hit the ‘submit’ tab to end up the process.
Take print out of application form for future reference.
