Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be President Scouts/ Guides/Ranger/Rover/Himalayan wood badge holder/pre-HWB trained Scouts leader/Advanced trained Guides/Leader/Captain.
- Candidate must be an active member of a Scouts Organization for at least 3 years.
- Aspirant must have attended one event at National level and one or two events at State level or have a good record in Scouts/Guide Activities at Unit/District level.

- For Octopad: Candidate should posse’s Diploma/degree in "Tabla" from recognized university.
- For Folk dance Genre (Vidha) with specialization in Sugam Sangit Gayaki:Diploma/Degree from recognized university in singing or dancing.
Desirable:
Applicants must have Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc.
Prizes won at National Level in above field.
Age Limit:
- Age of contenders should not less than 18 years and should not more than 29 years as on 01-01-2016.
- Upper Age relaxation will be for SC/ST 05 years and for OBC-03 years as per extent rule.
Examination Fee:
- For Unreserved/OBC candidates the processing fee for recruitment will be Rs. 100/- and payment should be made in favour of F.A. & C.A.O. DLW/VARANASI through Indian Postal Order/ Bank Draft.
- No examination fee is required for SC/ST/Women.
Selection Process for DLW Recruitment :
- Firstly applicants have to go through written test (written test will consist of objective type question on Music, General awareness and General Mathematics).
- Candidates found successful in written test will be called for actual performance, trial assessment and viva-voce.
Salary Scale:
